Ingram Digital to Power Digital Strategy for International Business Publisher Kogan Page:
Apr 20, 2009
LONDON, UK -- Ingram Digital, an Ingram content company focused on solutions for digital content management, hosting, distribution and promotion, today announced a new agreement with Kogan Page, Europe’s leading and largest independent business book publisher.
Kogan Page currently works with Ingram Publisher Services, a full-service distributor for publishers of all sizes, to facilitate their print distribution strategy in the US. Through this expanded relationship, Kogan Page will now also leverage Ingram Digital’s cutting-edge solutions for digital content worldwide.
The Ingram content companies’ integrated capabilities allow publishers to take advantage of emerging opportunities to reach more readers and monetize their content in two key ways:
• Publishers employ Ingram Digital’s CoreSource® platform to store, manage, repurpose, distribute and deliver e-content including e-books, metadata and related images.
• With CoreSource functioning as an extension of their digital infrastructure, publishers can fully leverage existing assets by tapping into Ingram Digital’s full range of retail, education and library solutions.
“Our customers are accustomed to the fast pace and efficiency that characterizes the business world,” said Kogan Page Managing Director Helen Kogan. “They expect their content to be delivered in the same manner. Thanks to our expanded relationship with Ingram, we will now be able to unlock several opportunities in the digital marketplace in a safe and cost-effective manner while continuing to meet the demand for print products.”
The agreement with Kogan Page illustrates the great synergy that exists among the Ingram content companies. Ingram Publisher Services’ customers have at their disposal the full range of solutions offered by Ingram Digital at preferred pricing. Today, Ingram is uniquely positioned to help publishers safely navigate a complex web of print and digital channels in order to tap into the widest possible customer base.
“We have enjoyed a productive relationship with Ingram Publisher Services and we felt confident that Ingram Digital’s CoreSource platform provided an ideal launching point for us to bring novel digital products to market,” said Helen Kogan.
“Kogan Page, through their relationship with Ingram Publisher Services, is now able to take full advantage of the services of Ingram Digital. The combination of great publishing with physical and digital distribution is a perfect example of what publishers can expect from a full service client relationship with Ingram,” said Phil Ollila, President of Ingram Publisher Services, Ingram Library Services and Coutt’s Information Services. “This deal represents a new direction for us, and we are seeing significant interest in our digital solutions from existing customers. Moving forward, Ingram Publisher Services and Ingram Digital will work closely together to provide publishers the print and digital support services they need to succeed in the digital age.”
